Think you’ve got the fastest hands in the West? Then get ready for The Shuck Off — KiiM-FM 99.5’s corn shucking showdown where if you shuck corn the fastest, you’ll walk away with the grand prize! (details below!)

Grand Prize:

  • $500 CAL Ranch Gift Card
  • Two (2) tickets to Broadway in Tucson’s Shucked on Tuesday, August 5th at 7:30pm at Centennial Hall

How To Qualify:

  • Listen to KiiM-FM 99.5 for the daily keyword to text into 520-369-5446 (7/21/25-7/30/25)
    • Eleven (11) pre-qualifiers will be selected and called on 7/31
  • Register on August 2, 2025 between 10am and 11:15am at CAL Ranch (6363 E 22nd St, Tucson, AZ 85710)
    • Five (5) last chance qualifiers will be selected at approximately 11:15am, MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN

ALL GRAND PRIZE FINALISTS MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN ON 8/2/25 AT CAL RANCH BETWEEN 10AM AND 12PM

Day of Event Information (August 2, 2025):

  • Pre-Qualifier Check-In: 10:00am – 11:15am (failure to check in by 11:15am will result in a forfeit of your spot in the giveaway)
  • Last Chance Registration: 10:00am – 11:15am
  • Last Chane Qualifier Drawing: 11:15am
  • Corn Shuck Off: 11:20am (approximately)

Logistics: Once all 16 qualifiers have been selected and accounted for, they will be grouped into four groups of four for round one (whoever shucks 10 ears of corn the fastest will move forward). The winners of round one will move onto round two. In round two, they will be grouped into two groups of two (whoever shucks 10 ears of corn the fastest will move forward). The winners of round two will move onto the final round, going head-to-head. Whoever shucks 10 ears of corn the fastest will be determined the winner. If there are less than sixteen qualifiers, the qualifiers will be grouped by KIIM-FM Staff as they see fit for the contest and number of participants
